1. 1. What is LFGB? LFGB is the abbreviation of the German Food and Commodity Law. Its predecessor is LMBG LFGB, which is the most important basic legal document on food hygiene management in Germany, and is the criterion and core of other special food hygiene laws and regulations. It has also been modified in recent years, mainly to match European standards. The regulations have made general and basic provisions on all aspects of German food. All food on the German market and all food related daily necessities must comply with its basic provisions above. If the daily necessities in contact with food pass the test and conform to the German Food and Daily Necessities Law, they can be certified as "products without chemical toxic substances" by the LMBG/LFGB test report issued by the authorized agency and can be sold in the German market.
2. The significance of the LFGB knife and fork certification mark The knife and fork mark is a food safety mark. On the daily necessities in contact with food, if there is a knife and fork mark, it means that the product has passed the test and met many German and European standards, met the requirements of German LFGB regulations, and proved that it does not contain toxic substances harmful to human body and can be sold in Germany and other European and American markets. In the European market, products with knife and fork marks can enhance customers' confidence and desire to buy. They are powerful market tools and greatly increase the competitiveness of products in the market.
3. Scope of products covered by the LFGB certification The LFGB test is aimed at all materials that may come into contact with food, including products produced with the latest technology, such as: chromium coating of barbecue rack, temperature resistance test of Teflon coating of cooking pan, silicone sealing ring test in kettle, etc.
2. 4. The LFGB test items are different according to the different materials of the LFGB regulations, and the test costs are different when the test items are different.
