Part I: Mechanical Testing
This part specifies the safety requirements for toys used by children from birth to 14 years old. It is mainly used to judge whether the toy contains sharp edges and dangerous sharp points. After the abuse test (pressure, tension, torque, collision, fall and other tests), it is used to judge whether there are small balls or small parts, so as to avoid suffocation hazards caused by children's swallowing. Judge the stability of heavy static toys to avoid damage caused by collapse.
Secondly, this part lists the methods of toy testing, and specifies the requirements for packaging and labeling.
Part II: Flame retardancy
This part mainly relates to toys worn on the head, including hair and tentacles; Toys for children (including toy tents); Plush filled toys, etc., shall be judged to be qualified according to their burning speed. The maximum burning speed specified in the standard is 30mm/s.
Part III: Chemical Testing
This part not only stipulates the limit of 8 heavy metals in the surface paint, paint and ink of toy materials; It is also required to test the migration of dyes, the requirements for materials containing polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride, and the formaldehyde content of textiles used in toys.
