ISI certification
Introduction to Certification
Thailand implements the TISI certification system combining compulsory certification and voluntary certification. For products that meet the standards, TISI marks are allowed to be used. For products that have not formulated standards, TISI also implements product registration as a temporary certification means.
The Thai government requires mandatory certification of 60 categories of products, involving 8 fields, including: electrical equipment and accessories, medical equipment, building materials, consumer goods, vehicles, PVC pipes, LPG gas containers and agricultural products. In addition, the certification of other types of products belongs to voluntary certification. Voluntary certification can only be applied for by local manufacturers.
The Industrial Product Standards Act authorizes the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) to be responsible for certification in Thailand. TISI is not only the government authority for compulsory certification in Thailand, but also the standard formulation and management agency, certification agency, laboratory accreditation, personnel training and registration agency. It is worth noting that there is no non-governmental mandatory certification body in Thailand.

There are three certification modes according to the product category:
1. Class A Approval: The product must be tested in the laboratory designated by NTC and provided with the data required by NTC to obtain the login number and certification certificate.
2. Class B Approval: The certification procedure is the same as that for Class A products, except that foreign reports such as FCC and R&TTE can be used to apply for the certification of the transfer mode, and the registration number and certification certificate must also be obtained.
3. SDoC Declaration of Conformity: This part of product certification is voluntary, and the customer's local representative in Thailand must fill in the SDoC form and send it to NTC together with the technical documents for future reference.
